I began running at the early age of 6 years old. Running has been the most consistent part of my life, it is a part of me, who I am. I was apart of the “winningest program”, Corona del Mar High School Cross Country team, from 2008 through 2012 where we won numerous titles and placed 10th at nationals in 2009. Though most of my credentials have been shadowed by my sneaky shins, I have yet to let them win and am working towards making a name for myself in the sport. After attending Southern Methodist University for my freshman year and becoming one of the best freshmen in the nation, I took my talents to UCLA where I hoped to change the perception of the distance program. Now, I am working towards my lifelong dream of running professionally. I plan to document my journey and share both my hardships and successes through this blog in hopes of inspiring and motivating others to work through their own challenges and persevere.
